I am a professional artist and have lived and worked in Yorkshire all my life. I have been painting animals for over 30 years.

In the early days I concentrated on miniatures of people, animals, birds and flowers, I find now that my ability to give a life like painting of any animal inspires me to use a larger format.

My favourite medium being water colour /gouache.

My style has been influenced by the attention to detail and precise work I have used as a professional photographic retouching artist and the old techniques
of hand colouring and restoration.

My studio is at home where I also provide a professional digital/hand retouching service for photographers.

I have displayed much of my work in local galleries and art shops.

It is always a delight to be asked to paint a special portrait of someone's beloved pet. Animals play an important part in all our lives, the love and devotion you give is paid back many fold, therefore it is important to me to do justice to the character of the animal, and of course the detail element in all my pictures has always been an essential part of interpreting photographs of any animal as well as creating an original portrait of a well loved companion.
